ABOUT SOPHIA

“Many of today’s music stars that people look up to are in their late teens and early twenties. Listening to those artists is great, but sometimes I feel like I can’t relate,” explains Sophia Sheth. The 14-year-old singer-songwriter is a lifelong fan of music. However, the Chicago native feels a void within her age group and perspective. “That’s kind of why I started writing; there are so many experiences to be told by younger people. I want to see that portrayed more in the media.”

When she was only 12, Sophia began writing and recording her debut album, STARDUST. The self-released LP has resonated, with over two million combined streams across the 12 tracks. After a year of growth and development, Sophia Sheth is taking leaps. Following her last album, Sophia returns with a brand new single and music video for, “GRID.” It sings of a devolved relationship where the other person watches your life through a screen. "This person is over you, but they're still on your grid," she explains. "They track your location," Sophia admits that a frustrating real-life event inspired the lyrics; the fun song gets the last word. "I write lyrics that are real and unfiltered about life," she shares. "That is what makes my music what it is.”
